From the first lesson we tailor the whole experience to the needs of the student. We aim to provide stable building blocks to progress in the future. Debut drum grades are available.
As you develop
Learn to play to many different styles and to many different songs. Techniques are taught to allow you to progress and play in a way you never dreamed was possible! Grades are available if desired. Rockschool grades are taught at Yorkshire Drum School. Also lessons can support both GCSE and A Level music courses.
Advanced lessons
This is where things get serious! For the player who wants to take things to the next level....Four way co-ordination, stick control/Moeller system, innovative time keeping techniques, finger technique, bass drum technique, chart reading, advanced reading, professional musicianship, advance jazz studies, jazz cymbal technique and much more...Various advanced material is used: Books by Charly Wilcoxen, Ted Reed, David Garibaldi. Online lessons
Fancy drumming but don't have the time to travel to the school? We also offer one-to-one online drum lessons via Skype or Zoom. To participate all you need is drum sticks, a device such as a iPad/tablet or laptop and a good internet connection. Message for details.
